How do I approve a proposal for the Manuscript Committee?

Step 1: Navigate to the proposal assessment page

You will receive an email asking you to review the proposal after the supervisor has submitted a proposal to the manuscript committee.

Click on the link in the e-mail to go to the review page. This email can be found in the faculty inbox or in Hora Finita itself.

If you are not yet logged in you will be asked to do so via Surfconext.

The message can also be found on the Hora Finita dashboard under most recent massages. 

Step 2: Review the proposal committee

You can find all the members of the proposed committee on this page, along with any comments left by the PhD supervisor substantiating the choice.

Step 3: Fill in and submit

Once you have reviewed the proposed Manuscript Committee you can either choose to approve or withhold approval by clicking on the 'assessment' drop down menu and making a selection.  

You can add comments regarding the reason for your decision in the comment section.

Once you have made a choice and are ready to submit, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on on the 'Submit' button .

After submitting you will receive the following message:

If you have approved the Manuscript Committee an email will be sent to the committee members with access to the PhD candidates manuscript. Both the PhD candidate and the Registrar's Office will be informed of your decision.
